Where did you get the manga book for In These Words? Is it in English? I have the large copies from Guilt Pleasure but would love a manga one like you have for my collection :)

I appreciate that you find most of my choices agreeable. As for Genma & Himi, they aren't problematic. The internet is ablaze with this word, but there are very few people using it correctly. Genma & Himi's relationship is not questionable or dubious (other ways of saying problematic). They have a terrible relationship, there's nothing ambiguous about it. Genma is a jerk and no matter how much he loves Himi (and I do believe that he does) he's still a jerk. He's possessive and dismissive of Himi's wants. And even though Himi wants nothing more than to serve Genma, he shouldn't disregard how a lot of the things he does makes Himi uncomfortable. For example having sex with him the night before his check up. That was just wrong. Also, they aren't glorified in anyway. Both Waki and Asari have taken issue with the way he treats Himi; no one's pointing at them saying, "look, here's a great example of a loving couple with a healthy relationship." It's rather tragic because even though Genma does love Himi--terribly and sordidly--he's Genma and that means their dynamic will never change.

I'm not in the habit of defending my choices, so I won't do that today either. But I just want you to know that I understand where you're coming from and I'm very happy that you felt comfortable sharing it with me and I hope you will continue to, but none of that changes how I feel about Genma & Himi. By the time I finish the series, they may no longer be my favorite, but I don't think my general feelings for them will change. But anything's possible, so I'll welcome another discussion once I finish the series and Kami no Hon.

i've always liked most of your BL choices but is disappointed to learn that your favorite Ze pair just got to be the glorified problematic and romanticized abusive relationship of Genma&Himi =/ but granted that you haven't read the rest of the 11 volumes yet as what you've stated, well carry on.

I was surprised that Sensei actually gave what Niina said any real thought. It was brought up several times, but he never said anything at those moments. When he was lying in bed going through the list of things he tried to address in some way, I thought that the next thing he would try would be an apology and then Niina would indicate in some way that that wasn't it. I didn't think the confession would come until the very end.

Yeah, even literally, I think the implication of that line remains the same.

I was disappointed at the ending, but not as disappointed as I could have been! When I mentioned TRAP, I think up through chapter 3.5 had been released. The confession at the end of ch.4 made me go "ennnh..." but after 5 I thought "ok, I guess that works." I
think Ootsuki just draws a ton of manga and may not always have the time
to fully develop her ideas.

I read that part as Niina naming off the things about himself that aren't part of Sensei's idealized version of him, but you're right, that particular line sticks out because the rest are real changes. Some of what bothers you there may be my fault. I looked back at the Japanese, and he doesn't say "not as..." in that particular bubble. I had a hard time with that part, but super-literal would be "I even understand society," so while he doesn't specifically say it's a change, the implication is there (the rest of that page is pretty much word-for-word).

Yeah, I got the email that Ze 10 was pushed back with no date. It's such a mess.

I would sOOOOOOOoooo happy if they could come through on Wakaba no! Seriously!

I really want to know what they story is behind the delay. I was told that v01 digital was released and then pulled. I can't really explain it, but this makes me feel like the issue is on Cheri +/Shinshokan's end. I doubt SuBLime would make the same mistake/violation twice.

I bought it, but I don't know when I'm going to have a chance to play it. G|P mentioned on FB that they were messing around with the idea a few months back.

I'm dreading the inevitable Ze kickstarter. I was actually panicking and composing in my mind a strongly worded email to DMI last night because Amazon told me Ze 10 was oop, and Chapters doesn't even have the book. But then I checked Akadot and calmed down.

I keep bugging them about Wakaba no, and I think it did pretty well so hopefully we get something soon-ish.

And the False Memory delay is not normal since it has been delayed for months.

I bought COOT, but I only played a few minutes of it before I got distracted with something else. I've heard is a bit superficial, but it seems to be funny. I didn't know GP was releasing a game; I have to check it out then.

I love NightS but I still haven't finished Reply, and I'm not really interested in doing so. I'm a terrible fan because I don't quite remember what those two books of Suzuki Tsuta were about, but that just means I have to do another reread.

Ha, rightstuf has DTFB1 as coming out in 2027. June still hasn't updated their calendar, but I think it's safe to say that DTFB2 is delayed as well since this has happened before.

His Rose Colored Life was delayed as well, which is weird since the digital edition has been out for awhile, so everything is suspect.

All of this is kinda reminding me of the time they took a hiatus from yaoi. I hope to god that's not what's happening but something is definitely wrong with DMP.

Me too. I really need them to not screw us over and to pull through on this one. I really like the story and I want to see it through. It gives me the same kind of good feeling that I got from Brilliant Blue.

Usagi's been out for a bit, maybe April? So I hope they jump on it soon. You'd think with the lower overhead, they'd be sure to fully commit to the DMG titles, but they never did do well with logic. As far as VoN, yeah, that's what the "(well..)" indicated.

RMTM's third volume is already out in Japan so I'm expecting DMI to announce their continuation any minute now, but I don't hold hope for them continuing their DMG titles.

No, I'm not that into sports manga. But I had some free time and I hadn't seen any anime in awhile, and for some reason I was in a mood to watch a sports anime. I actually thought I was going to watch a baseball one and was mightily confused as to why they were playing volleyball.

It's a funny show and I felt engaged while I watched it so I will try to continue it.

Do you read it? I like it a lot. I like that it's really a sports anime and not a mahou shoujo anime disguised as a sports anime. Nothing against KnB--which I like--but it's fun to watch something a little closer to true.

The hand holding really is the best and Mariya's face every time it happens... he knows he can't say "no" or do anything to deny whatever Nachi is trying to convey. It really does make you melt.

The first story wasn't bad, but it didn't get that much of a rise out of me, so I guess it was rather boring. I definitely agree that it's a HFN, but I think it has the potential to be a HEA, though I doubt we'll ever see that.
